“ Great food & even better location. The only thing I would disagree with is the price on the menu items are a little expensive, these days they should be lowering the price on the entrees. But they do offer a discount if you pay in cash ”
“ Amazing food!!! The plates are big, so prepare to take home leftovers. Try the honey walnut shrimp if you can. It's my favorite, and they cook it perfectly. ”
“ One of my favorite wonton soups I've ever had! They are fairly priced and very fast service. ”
“ Since I was coming down the hill after a day hike in Placerville, I stopped by Hong Kong Inn to grab takeout to celebrate New Year's Eve. I was not in the mood to cook dinner and remembered this restaurant was nearby. The food was pretty good, Americanized Chinese style. They cook without MSG which I appreciate. I ordered the chicken fried rice and tangerine chicken. The fried rice was fantastic. The rice was light and fluffy with absolutely no oiliness. Very clean tasting. The pieces of chicken were cleanly cut pieces of light meat. The tangerine chicken was good. It was not overly sweet since they do not use HFCS sauces or MSG. The coating was not over floured and the chicken was moist. The menu has a hot chili pepper next to the tangerine chicken but you can ask for it to be cooked mild. Still yummy either way. The interior is a bit outdated but clean. The folks that work here are so darn kind. Another great thing about this place is the lunch ~$10.50 and dinner specials ~$13 are offered every day, not just on the weekdays. ”
“ Positive: Portions were great. Food tasted good. Restaurant was clean and quiet with plenty of seating and space. I was seated immediately and given water. Negative: Service was so-so after being sat. Over all it was good and ill be back and would recommend. Note: Menu pics on Yelp are way outdated prices. Lunch special is now 15.95. ”
“ Came in for veggie lunch. Ordered the veggie chow mein lunch special, it came with options of egg fried rice or steamed rice, I chose steamed. Soup of the day, hot & sour soup. The one thing I did not like was the egg roll that came with the lunch special was pork, I asked of they had a veggie egg roll instead and the waitress said well its only a little pork. So I did not have that. The chow mein was fresh and hot, had lots of broccoli, carrots, onions and mushrooms. Very good 9/10 the soup was also very tasty. Overall I would come back again. ”
